Iguazu Falls Legend Ballet Shown in Cuba

Cubanos National Ballet (BNC) has taken to the stage in Havana this weekend a preview of the Legend of the Great Water, choreographed by Eduardo Blanco that recreates the Guarani legend on the origin of the Brazilian Iguazu Falls.
With music by Miguel Nuñez, the ballet tells a love story of Taroba warrior (played by Javier Torres) and the beauty Naipi (played by Yanela Piñera).

The two-acts ballet, by Jose Ramon Neyra, brings together different versions of the legend and includes characters and situations taken from other Guarani stories.

The BNC will officially premiere the Iguazu Falls Legend on July 17, in Iguazu city, in which the falls with its name are located, and then it will take it to Sao Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, Londrina, and Porto Alegre.
